The swing time is an interactive ride consisting of 20 illuminated circular swings. This polypropylene-welded swing is available in three different sizes for visitors to exercise and play individually or in groups. Currently, the swing time has illuminated the city park in the south of Boston, creating a place for relaxation between the Boston Convention Center and the D Block to empty and enjoy peace after work.
The LED lights built into these 20 swings are controlled by custom microcontrollers that provide signals for lighting. The accelerometer inside the swing can measure its strength. When the swing is at rest, the LED light will emit a faint white light, and when the swing is shaken, the white light will be converted into purple light. This stress-responsive approach is intended to encourage good interactions between people, people and devices, and to make the park a more harmonious community.
