Nowadays, with the continuous advancement of production technology, the folding carton has changed from a manual paste box to an automatic paste box. To this end, folding cartons require innovation from design to printing to post- press processing in order to meet demand in new production modes.
Box design
1. One-piece carton design
At present, more and more products, especially bottled cosmetics, are usually placed in the outer packaging carton to provide a cushioning and fixing component to prevent the product from being damaged due to vibration or falling during transportation. When packaging the product, it is necessary to put the buffer fixing component into the paper box and then put the product into it, which undoubtedly increases the operation steps and reduces the packaging efficiency. If the internal cushioning fixing parts are integrated with the paper cassette at the beginning of the carton design, the packaging efficiency will be greatly improved. Below, the author takes the packaging box of bottled essential oil cosmetics as an example to introduce the structural design of the integrally formed carton.
The product is an essential oil bottle with a diameter of about 25mm and a height of about 65mm. It is required to have a buffer fixing structure inside the carton, so that the bottom of the essential oil bottle is emptied, and the bottle body of the essential oil bottle and the side of the carton must have a certain distance to be centered. Due to the small size and light weight of the essential oil bottle, only one piece of cardboard can bear the weight of the bottle. Therefore, it was decided to add a fixed structure to the mouth of the carton, and the box-shaped unfolding effect is as shown in FIG. According to the size of the carton and the essential oil bottle, die-cutting lines with different pitches and lengths are set. In order to ensure the forming effect inside the carton of the gluing box, the folding line part adopts the die-cutting method of the cutting line + creasing line. Since the carton of the paste box is flat, the fold line of the internal structure is made by a conventional indentation method, and it is difficult to ensure that the carton can be smoothly formed. The internal structure is glued to complete the paste box, and the internal structure bonding effect is shown in Fig. 2. The carton can be glued on the drum or glued. After the paste box is formed, the inside of the carton can form a structure for fixing the essential oil bottle, and the three-dimensional forming effect of the carton is as shown in FIG.

When packaging the cosmetics, the paper box can be opened and the internal structure can be automatically opened, and the operation of the buffering and fixing parts is relatively manual, which significantly improves the packaging efficiency.
2. Straight type carton design
For the commonly used linear carton, if the original packaging method is used, and then changed to the automatic packaging method, then the test should be carried out on the automatic packaging machine to check whether the packaging process is smooth. If there is a problem, the carton should be based on the actual situation. The structure is fine-tuned to accommodate the automatic packaging machine.
