Dupont offers new technology to increase barrier properties in polyester bottles

Dupont offers two new technologies that improve the barrier properties of polyester bottles. The first is to modify the polymer and increase the barrier properties of the original PET by 2 to 3 times; the second is to use a “transparent aluminum compound” surface. Coating technology can improve the barrier properties of the original PET 30 to 40 times. There are no problems with recycling using this coating. Both of these new technologies are near commercialization.
