Henan will build 100 provincial-level forest towns
The forest characteristic towns in our province are divided into four types: forest health, eco-tourism, ecological greening, and characteristic industrial. According to the construction requirements of industry, culture and tourism, the development of forest health and ecological tourism It will enrich the development of historical classic industries, implement the integration of forestry one, two, and three productions, highlight the characteristics of leading industries, and form characteristic villages and towns with high concentration and compound advantages.
It is reported that the forest featured towns can be declared as villages, and can be specific areas or natural village settlements with unique resource advantages, or they can be forestry leading enterprises. After voluntary declaration, review and screening, eligible applicants will be included in the list of forest featured towns in Henan Province, and will be cultivated for about one year. The villages and towns that have reached the standard of establishment will be awarded the title of “Henan Provincial Forest Characteristic Town†by the Provincial Greening Committee and the Provincial Forestry Bureau, and will be given certain rewards.
According to the “Report on the Application and Assessment of Forest Characteristic Towns in Henan Provinceâ€, the forest coverage rate (including ecological land such as wetlands) in the forest-conservative, characteristic industrial and ecological green-type forest characteristic towns is not less than 80%, and the regional forest area Not less than 2,400 mu; the forest coverage rate of eco-tourism-type forest characteristic towns is not less than 50%, and the regional forest area is not less than 1,500 mu. The declared area has a population of 500 people in the mountainous area and more than 1,500 people in the plain, with an area of ​​over 2 square kilometers.
