Japan Marubeni Co., Ltd. announced on January 23 that it will build a new 350,000 tons/year boxboard corrugated paper project in Batu-Vung Tau province, Vietnam. In the press release, the company stated that it has obtained all necessary licenses and the project is about to start. It is expected to be put into production in the second half of the 2020 fiscal year.
China Haicheng Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. also announced on the same day that it has signed the EPC General Contract for Newly Prepared and Paper Machine Engineering with Nippon Marubeni Corporation and its subsidiary Kraftof Asia Paperboard & Package Co., Ltd. The total contract amount is 107.5 million US dollars, or about 731.77 million yuan. The project mainly includes the construction of a new slurry preparation and paper machine production line. China Haicheng is responsible for the project design, equipment procurement, installation and construction, commissioning, start-up, performance guarantee and defect repair during the warranty period.
Marubeni said that the demand for Vietnamese boxboard corrugated paper will increase by more than 10% annually, exceeding that of Thailand, Indonesia and other countries. In addition, thanks to the stable economic growth brought by a large number of foreign export industries, Vietnam is expected to become the largest consumer of boxboard corrugated paper in ASEAN countries in the first half of 2020.

The planned land area of ​​the plant is 689.60 mu, and the planned total construction area is 186,382.00 square meters. The project mainly produces waste paper pulp board and packaging base paper by importing American waste paper into raw materials, reaching 800,000 tons of waste paper pulp board and 600,000 tons of raw paper, including 355,000 tons of cardboard and 245,000 of corrugated paper.
The proposed project is temporarily located in Selangor, on the east coast of West Malaysia, Malaysia. The project site is 43 kilometers away from Klang Port and 52 kilometers away from Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
The project is planned to be constructed in two phases. The construction period is 4 years. The first phase of the construction is 800,000 tons of pulp production line. The construction period is 2 years. After 1 year of completion and commissioning, the construction of the second phase 600,000 tons of raw paper production line will be started. The construction period is 2 years and the total construction period of the project is 5 years.
Jingxing said in the announcement that this overseas investment needs to be approved and filed by the corresponding competent business department, development and reform committee and foreign exchange management department. The construction of the Malaysian project needs to be approved by the relevant Malaysian authorities.
The fourth iDEAL crescent paper machine from Yibin Paper was put into production

The green carton packaging project of Wuhan Rongcheng Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd. with a total investment of 307 million in 2018 officially settled in the Hanchuan Economic Development Zone. Since the project started in September, the main construction has been progressing at full speed as planned. It is understood that the project is divided into two phases. Among them, the first phase was officially started in September 2018. At present, the waste paper packaging workshop of 51,200 square meters and the basic structure of the steel structure of the main plant have been completed.
