In March 2018, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) released an updated version of the toy standard "ISO 8124-1 Toy Safety Part 1: Physical and Mechanical Properties" ISO 8124-1: 2018. The new version mainly includes the following changes:
1. The following definitions have been revised: rope, elastic rope, A-weighted equivalent sound pressure level, drag toys ... etc .;
2. Add a reasonable and predictable abuse test for cardboard and fiber-filled materials;
3. Clarified the clause 4.4.2 warning words only for toys used by children from 36 to 72 months;
4. Revise the kinetic energy density requirements of the arrow projectile impact surface;
5. Amend the C-weighted sound pressure level requirements for near-ear toys;
6. Add other sub-clause requirements:
a. Yo-Yo;
b. All or part of the wearable rope wrapped around the neck;
c. Sled pulling rope;
d. The jaw is caught in the handle and steering wheel;
e. Test method of fixed rope loop;
f. Rope resistance;
g. Yo-Yo test (measurement of elastic coefficient K and original length l0);
h. Determination of the lower jaw;
7. Add additional sub-clauses in the appendix.
