Chevron-Phillips Chemicals and Solvay Polymers selected Air Products to supply hydrocarbon and nitrogen recovery systems for their polyethylene production facility in Baytown, Texas, which is scheduled to start in late 2002. Air Products claims that its recovery system will pay off in one to two years, depending on the price of recovered hydrocarbons, nitrogen and electricity in the region where the device is located.
