2001 U.S. waste plastics recycling growth

According to RW Beck's estimate in December 2001, post-consumer recycled plastics in the United States should reach 2.75 billion pounds in 2001. This figure increased by 2.3% compared with 2000. Among them, HDPE occupies more than one third of them, 960 million pounds, and PET reaches 860 million pounds; PP reaches 105 million pounds, an increase of 5% from last year. The final estimate will be published in a report by the American Chemical Society.
