New asphalt modifiers are inexpensive

A new type of asphalt modifier whose performance is comparable to that of an international brand and whose price is only 1/5 to 1/4 of that of an international brand was successfully developed in Kunming, Yunnan, and was awarded a national invention patent.
Asphalt modifiers are natural or synthetic synthetic organic or inorganic materials that are added to asphalt and asphalt mixtures to improve and enhance asphalt pavement performance. There have been two commonly used asphalt modifiers at home and abroad, namely high molecular polymer (SBS) and natural lake asphalt (TLA). Both of these asphalt modifiers have limited sources and cannot be used in large quantities; or they are expensive, complicated in modification process, and difficult to popularize.
The DE-99 new asphalt modifier researched and developed by the Diatomite Experts Group has solved these problems. It uses inorganic non-metallic minerals as raw materials and is processed through many processes such as purification, modification, activation, compounding and coupling. The product is paved with hundreds of kilometers of modified asphalt pavement inside and outside Yunnan Province. After four years of observation and observation, the road surface quality is good, the high temperature does not spread oil, the low temperature does not crack, the water stability is good, wear resistance, anti-skid, low noise, service life long. Its performance is comparable to that of SBS, and its use process is simple. No special equipment is required.
