Study on the Properties and Characteristics of High Yield Pulp Wastewater

In this study, in conjunction with the special low-energy and high-strength wood pulp production technology, the wastewater from each process section of APMP, C. lanceolata APMP, C. oleracea CTMP, Acacia Acacia, CTMP, Masson Pine CTMP, and Populus tomentosa APMP was measured systematically. The source of pollution and the amount of pollutants generated. The comparison of different wood species, different pre-impregnation methods, different types of pulp, different yield changes and differences, provide comprehensive basic data for the improvement of process technology and the effective treatment of high-yield pulp wastewater. The preliminary experimental study concluded as follows:
(1) Fast-growing wood APMP process tons of waste water produces COD up to 200-250 kg. The pH value of waste water is relatively high, and its BOD/COD is > 0.4, indicating that APMP has good biodegradability, but the pH must be lowered before biological treatment.
(2) The COD emission of ton pulp wastewater from the fast-growing wood CTMP process is 100-200 kg. The results of this study indicate that the CTMP process has a lower COD emission than the APMP process. The pH of the CTMP wastewater is basically neutral and the APMP wastewater is alkaline. Compared with the APMP process, the CTMP process added much less NaOH when pre-treating chips, thus showing the above differences.
(3) The same species of trees, the same technology, but different dosage of wood pulp preparation test shows that: the amount of alkali is the amount of NaOH has a direct relationship to the characteristics of the generated wastewater pollution. Therefore, from the consideration of wastewater treatment, from From an environmental point of view, the use of alkali should be minimized in the pulping process.
