On May 10-12, 2013, in the same season that Xu Xiake started its journey 400 years ago, the “2013 National Outdoor Sports Competition and China Outdoor Sports Festival” was successfully held in Huchen Township, Ninghai County, Zhejiang Province.

This outdoor festival was sponsored by the Mountain Sports Management Center of the State Sports General Administration, the China Mountaineering Association, and the Zhejiang Provincial Sports Bureau, and was organized by the Ninghai County People's Government and the Ningbo Sports Bureau. The outdoor festival attracted a total of more than 60 clubs and more than 8,000 outdoor enthusiasts.

Second, the national camping assembly

The Yangtze River Delta region has developed outdoor sports and has a very deep base for camping activities. The National Camping Conference has been held twice in Ninghai, the first for the Ninghai National Camping Conference in 2011, the second for the 2012 National Outdoor Sports Competition and the China (Ninghai) Outdoor Sports Festival, and the third for the 2013 National Outdoors. In 2012, Ninghai County successfully held the First National Outdoor Sports Competition and China Outdoor Sports Festival. This comprehensive outdoor event “Carnival” integrating sports, leisure, entertainment, culture, and exhibition and sales attracted dozens of songs from all over the country. Outdoor sports clubs, more than 2,000 people came to participate in the event and achieved excellent results and influence.

On this basis, the National Sports Administration Mountaineering Management Center and the Ninghai County People's Government proposed to make the National Outdoor Sports Competition and the China Outdoor Sports Festival a “Great Display of China’s Outdoor Sports Events, a Great Integration of China’s Outdoor Industry and Culture,” The "three major goals" of the outdoor enthusiasts of the country and the weather vane of the development of outdoor outdoor sports in the country are "combination of professional and public, sports and industry, sports and culture", reflecting Chinese outdoor sports and sports.
