The state-level new material industrialization base of Jinchang, which was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology, was officially unveiled and started construction on September 2, 2003. The construction of the base will be guided by science and technology, capitalize on the advantages of nickel resources, highlight the deep processing and industrialization of nickel-cobalt-copper and precious-metal products, increase the development of inorganic chemicals, new construction materials and their products, and accelerate the pace of industry. It is planned to use a period of 5 to 10 years to form a strong new material science and technology innovation capability. The new materials industry accounts for more than 40% of the city's total industrial output value and forms a new economic structure led by the new material industry. In order to seek scientific and technological support, before and after the launch of the new material industrialization base, Jinchang City carried out extensive cooperation with some of the country's leading research institutes to discuss and sign contracts for cooperation between the hospital and the hospital.
