Aseptic Filling of PET Bottled Sensitive Beverages: PredisTM Dry Sterilization Technology

PredisTM, Sidel's patented pre-empty preform sterilization system, was originally developed for cold-chain sales of beverages and can now also be used for products sold at room temperature. Dry sterilization technology for the aseptic filling of sensitive products is a major breakthrough in the past.

Aseptic packaging is used to extend the shelf life of room temperature-sale sensitive drinks (juices, tea, flavored water, and energy drinks). In response to consumer preferences and increasingly stringent food safety regulations, aseptic filling provides a new packaging option for sensitive beverages.

The Sidel Combi PredisTM Fma is a system for blowing and filling sensitive products under aseptic conditions. It is innovative and simple. The key feature of this system, which distinguishes it from other similar devices, is its “preservative dry bottle sterilisation technology”: dry sterilization of preforms at the furnace inlet with hydrogen peroxide vapor (H2O2) instead of washing bottles with water. Combi PredisTM Fma combines the PredisTM solution with Sidel's latest SensofillTM Fma aseptic filling technology in a single device that combines blowing, filling and capping.
