Beauty uses carbon dioxide to make plastic packaging materials

U.S. experts have adopted a new technology to successfully use carbon dioxide to make plastic packaging materials.
The chemical properties of carbon dioxide are not active, and a single carbon dioxide cannot make plastic. However, U.S. experts used special zinc-based catalysts to mix carbon dioxide and ethylene oxide (or propylene oxide) in the same amount to make new plastic packaging materials.
This new plastic packaging material has glass-like transparency and air impermeability, similar to polycarbonate and nylon polyamide resin. In addition to its thermal decomposition and gasification at a temperature of 240°C, it also has biodegradability, and it can be completely lost in the soil for several years without polluting the environment.
