First, on the label material

At present, there are many types of self-adhesive label materials, which mainly appear from the three components of adhesives, namely: surface materials, pressure-sensitive adhesives (adhesives), and substrates (commonly known as silicone oil-coated release materials. The main types and characteristics of pressure sensitive adhesives on the market are as follows:

(1) Solvent type adhesive: It is dissolved in a solvent, economical, and adaptable to various use environments, but it has great toxicity to the human body. It has been banned from use in developed countries in Europe and America, and is still widely used in China for wet wipes, sanitary napkins, daily chemical products, and even food labels that are in direct contact with the human body.

(2) Emulsion adhesives: dissolved in water, harmless to the environment, suitable for most operations;

(3) hot melt adhesive: prefabricated adhesive;

(4) UV hot melt adhesive: It is a new technology that can be cured with a UV lamp.

Most of the high-end adhesive label materials use emulsion type and hot-melt adhesives as pressure-sensitive adhesives. For printing companies, making choices among numerous products is not an easy task. The most surface materials used in adhesive label materials are classified into paper and chemical films. Common face materials and features are as follows.

(1) Offset paper: also known as writing paper, moulded paper, matte paper with non-coated surface, general application of monochrome printing or printing, barcode information labels, can also be written directly.

(2) Coated paper: It is a medium-gloss paper with coated paper whose coated paper is coated on the surface of the paper. (5) Heat Transfer Paper: A self-adhesive label material specially developed for thermal transfer printing. (9) PET film: Polyester film with surface treated and untreated. The surface is bright white, white, transparent and various metallized bright silver, silver and other kinds.
