Among the 107 batches of dark and expensive hardwood furniture (commonly known as “redwood furniture”), 39 batches were unqualified, and more than 80% of the unqualified products were unqualified. According to the Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau, most unqualified furniture uses a variety of woods, but only the names such as "red sandalwood, ebony, green sandalwood" are all marked as irregular. Hardwood furniture 36.4% failed

The Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau randomly checked 107 batches of dark and expensive hardwood furniture produced by 104 enterprises, and failed 39 batches of inspections. The unqualified product discovery rate was 36.4%, of which only 33 batches were unqualified, accounting for unqualified 84.6% of the products. Excluding the identification only, the product quality was found to be 5.6%. In addition, 41 batches of metal furniture products were randomly selected from 41 companies, and 2 batches were unqualified. The unqualified product discovery rate was 3.2%.

Provincial quality supervisors pointed out that for dark and expensive hardwood furniture, it is often only the surface wood uses some kind of expensive hardwood, but the internal components such as drawers are not used, but the product logo is marked as "red sandalwood" and "ebony". The logo is easy for consumers to think that 100% of the whole set of furniture is made of this kind of wood. The person said that the correct mark should indicate the percentage of wood used. In addition, the instructions for use of some products in the sampling did not indicate a special way of care, and was also found to be unqualified.

22.9% of tempered glass failed

The Provincial Quality Supervision Bureau randomly checked 166 batches of tempered glass products, and failed to inspect 38 batches. The unqualified product discovery rate was 22.9%. Among the 38 unqualified batches, all of the fragment status items failed. The unqualified tempered glass of this project is prone to sharp strips and is easy to injure people. In addition, 2 batches of impact resistance and thermal shock resistance performance items were unqualified.

Dark and precious hardwood furniture should have a shelf life of no less than two years.
