Pepsi will increase beverage bottle utilization through incentives

Pepsi recently issued two announcements announcing new measures to reduce the environmental impact upstream and downstream of the value chain. The traditional approach to environmental protection focuses on the well-known activities in the "four walls." However, like other leading companies, PepsiCo achieves sustainable development in a more comprehensive manner and therefore has a much greater impact.

In the downstream of the value chain, Pepsi decided to increase the recycling rate of beverage bottles from a relatively low 34% to 50% or more. It partnered with Waste Management's GreenOps department to launch a new program called "Dream Machine." The company has installed “reverse” vending machines in crowded areas such as gas stations and stadiums, recycling empty beverage bottles that are often discarded and not reused, allowing consumers to earn points for redemption. Or a prize offered by a local business.
